I am well known locally and have made a big impact on my community, is this for me? Yes, Of course ! We are looking to collaborate with anyone that is well-known within their respective communities and industries.We will be utilizing the unique assets of major celebrities, however, we know that it takes motivated advocates at all levels to really create positive changes. We thank you for your service.
It seems like every Star has a cause these days, does it take away from the real issues? While it is true that we are seeing more and more celebrities gettinginvolved in causes it just proves we are right on target with our mission. They are an excellent source of gettingout the educational information and inspiring people to Act! Remember, some of them get involved in causes because they themselves were afflicted and you can feel their passion if you really listen to them speak ..They are just like Us in that respect. (ex.,Melissa Etheridge and breast cancer). And what we don’t see is that they may have gotten involved with a cause because a Mother, Father, Sister, etc. were the disadvantaged one which makes them so passionate about a particular cause. They also feel so fortunate that they become compelled to give back. Combined with their high visibility, this makes them the perfect representative for our cause of developing projects that combine star power with charitable causes to raise awareness and empower the public to act!
It seems like the Public only cares about gossip and scandals….
Scandals do sell magazines, indeed, But certainly that is not all people care about or the non-profit industry would not be the leading employer in the U.S.. Bottom line is people care about what Celebrities are doing and people care about people. So why not combine the two and get a more intimate view of them than you ever have before by seeing them doing what is closest to their hearts. Ben Affleck and Jen Garner are often photographed by the paparozzi with their handicapped teenage friend who they invite to many of their events. They care.
Will people really watch this type of programming?
We can be sure the answer is Yes! and we know Because.... it is already on highly rated TV shows and networks, so we know it attracts ratings and is newsworthy. In fact it is everywhere!
-Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood do segments every night highlighting Celeb causes
-IN STYLE Magazine has a section called Cause Celeb every month
-VH1 Chose “Celeb Causes” for an entire episode of their popular series All Access
-MTV has a subdivision called "THINK" which aired “ The Diary of Angelina Jolie in Africa” as well when Jay-Z dramatized the World Water Crisis in a video Diary.
-Myspace has a section called "IMPACT" solely dedicated to highlighting celebrity attached causes and their related mypsace pages
-You Tube has become a breeding ground for people to share clips of celebrity psa's and charitable content
And if that is not enough …
-AOL’s Homepage declared for an entire weekend online that “Celebrities with causes are the new black.”…
In Media we look at trends to set the groundwork for what comes next and we have just outlined a definite trend for you. Stars Standing Up! will be developing programming that utilizes all of those media outlets.
I can’t stand when certain celebrities or anyone get 's on their moral high-horse and starts screaming about things. Is that what this is?
Absolutely not! We are a research -based Organization and intend to be very careful with the content we put out there. And though we hope they are passionate, No one will be screaming here just STANDING UP!. This isn’t a political or religious organization though we may touch on those topics at times .It is an opportunity to take what the celebrities do to make a difference in their private lives and partner with them to publicize it in order to raise awareness and mobilize the public to take action! I don’t really watch the news or get involved with causes. Will I find your media projects interesting?
We certainly hope so. As long as you have a heart! And just in case you don’t you may enjoy watching what someone wore to a red carpet gala event or even find out how to win your favorite celeb at a bachelor auction. But we hope you will watch those things and maybe learn a little too.
